Ryan Maxwell, Canadian photographer based in Vancouver, BC.

First picking up a camera in 2015, the process of learning photography and working towards mastering the craft quickly became a passionate obsession Ryan could not get enough of. In late 2016, Ryan moved to Vancouver to pursue photography full-time. After just under 2 years of freelancing and immersing himself into Vancouvers creative community, shooting for various clients and events, he landed himself a position as a photographer and editor at HAVEN from 2018-2025. At the start of 2025, Ryan decided to step away from his full-time job to dive back in to an independent career as a freelance photographer for hire.

Currently in 2025 Ryan’s client list ranges from local Vancouver brands, musicians and modelling agencies to globally recognized brands and artists such as adidas, The North Face, HOKA as well as the Vancouver Canucks NHL Team, Rolling Loud, KILLY, 6LACK, and many more.

Ryan specializes in campaign imagery and e-commerce product photography for fashion brands. He is also extremely passionate about the music industry and has nearly a decade of experience photographing concerts and festivals, including the worlds largest travelling Hip-Hop music festival Rolling Loud along with multiple different local Vancouver based music festivals. For 7 years Ryan worked as the in house photographer for HAVEN, a world renowned men’s fashion brand and retailer photographing various campaigns, lookbooks, as well as e-commerce product image operations. He refused to be boxed in to one genre of image creation and is no stranger to photographing weddings, events recaps, still life imagery, and street photography.
